Medicare Advantage policy is a health insurance provided by the private firms under the contract basis to Medicare. The Medicare Advantage plan is also called as Medicare Part C or Plus Choice policy. This state provides New Mexico Medicare Advantage plans for their residents to get Original Medicare coverage and the coverage of prescription drug plan. An individual can enroll in the Advantage plan in the place of Original Medicare policy if that individual stays in the plan’s coverage area. An extra charge should be paid if the individual gets the services external to the plan. Most of the Preferred Provider Organization plans provide the coverage of Medicare Part D plans.
PFFS stands for Private Fee for Service plan. With this plan, an individual can visit to any Medicare approved hospital or doctor who is ready to treat and accept the payment terms of the plan. PFFS plan covers prescription drug services.
